About Heysham Neighbourhood Community

The Heysham Neighbourhood Community is a non-profit community organisation ran by a small, but mighty team of volunteers.

Our Constitution

The council shall carry out the following objects in the manner and basis that is neither party-political nor religiously sectarian.

  1. To promote the general good of the neighbourhood and to encourage all things which are for the benefit of the inhabitants.
  2. To represent the opinion of the neighbourhood on all matters of concern to the area, its preservation, well being and advancement.
  3. To improve housing, working, educational, environmental, social, recreational and other such like conditions by assisting and advising statutory authorities and voluntary organisations engaged in maintenance and advancement of such conditions.
  4. To run and assist in running social and recreational activities.
  5. To initiate the formation of organisations for any of the objects and activities mentioned in this Constitution, which are not covered by existing bodies.

Our Misson

Heysham Neighbourhood Community is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all residents of Heysham Village. Through inclusive and non-partisan efforts, we work to preserve the area’s heritage, foster a sense of belonging, and promote social, educational, and environmental well-being. By organising vibrant events, maintaining beautiful shared spaces, and collaborating with volunteers and authorities, we strive to create a welcoming and thriving community for everyone.
